Yunnan University team receives commendation letter

The School of International Chinese Language Education of Yunnan University recently sent a team to Zhuangtang village in Qujing for the "Promoting Mandarin to Vitalize Culture of Ethnic Group Villages" project.

The team received a commendation letter from the Language and Text Application Management Department of the Ministry of Education and the Youth Development Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.

The commendation letter praised the meticulously-planned activity proposals, diverse and fun activities, and other accomplishments made by the team. Yunnan University was also encouraged to continue promoting the national common language and assist in rural vitalization.

It is reported that the practice team consisted of one teacher and eight students. The team visited Zhaitang village to investigate and then conducted a four-day, eight-session online Mandarin training course for villagers through the Tencent Meeting platform.
