Yunnan University upgrades campus card system

The campus card system and terminal devices in Yunnan University's canteens, supermarkets, and a hospital have been upgraded.

The original system and terminal devices could no longer meet current usage demands, thus they were upgraded and replaced in January by the Yunnan University Information Technology Center. After researching domestic universities across China, it was evident that this new system would be more convenient for Yunnan University's teachers and students.

The new terminal devices not only have the traditional card-swiping function, but also include a reverse scanning function for WeChat applet payment codes. When using applet payment, people no longer need to worry about the hard light and unclear QR codes causing scanning failures.

Currently, the new terminal devices are divided into two types: one is the vertical device that is commonly used in the canteen, and the other is the horizontal device that is commonly used in the supermarket and campus hospital. Next, the university will also introduce an integrated payment system and facial scan payment functions as appropriate.

Instructions for use

If using a physical campus card, users simply need to tap their campus card on the card reader, located on the right side of the terminal devices.

If using the "Yunnan University campus card" WeChat applet payment code, users just need to open the payment QR code in the applet and display it to the device scanner, located on the left side of the device.
