Yunnan University in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, held its spring semester work conference on Feb 29.

The conference was chaired by Zhou Xuebin, secretary of the university's Party committee. Zhou outlined the university's goals for 2024, emphasizing the advancement of its "first-class universities and disciplines" construction, which strengthens external exchanges and cooperation.
University president Fang Jingyun also outlined the administrative arrangements for the university in eight aspects, including "first-class universities and disciplines" construction, talent cultivation, talent team building, scientific research and social services, international exchanges and cooperation, deepening comprehensive reforms, campus infrastructure construction, as well as the operation of the Southwest United Graduate School.
