Excellent students receive reward at YNU

The 35th Board Meeting of the Zengxianzi Education Foundation and the award ceremony for the eighth "Excellent College Student Reward Program" were held at Yunnan University (YNU) on March 28, with 1,140 students from 38 universities receiving awards.

Zeng Zhiming, chairman of the Zengxianzi Education Foundation, and Liu Limin, vice chairman and president of the China Education Association for International Exchange, attended the meeting and ceremony. Award-winning students from universities in Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Tibet, and Guangxi participated in the ceremony.

Since 2000, the Zengxianzi Education Foundation and the Ministry of Education have jointly implemented the "Excellent College Student Reward Program", which supports economically disadvantaged but academically excellent college students in China. 

To date, the program has supported students from 38 universities, with a total scholarship fund of approximately 151 million yuan (20.89 million) awarded.
