The annual meeting of the Translators Association of China was held in Changsha city from March 30 to 31. Wang Feibai, a retired professor from the School of Foreign Languages of Yunnan University (YNU) was awarded the "Lifetime Achievement Award in Translation" at the meeting.

Wang excels in translating literature in various languages, such as English and Russian, and has translated and published dozens of works throughout his more than 50-year career.
In August 1994, Wang began teaching translation studies and other courses at the School of Foreign Languages in Yunnan University. During this time, he published many significant translations, including Bibliotheca Mvndi Poetica.
Bibliotheca Mvndi Poetica won the China Book Award in 1995, was nominated for the National Book Award in 1996, won third prize in Yunnan province's outstanding social science achievements in 1997, and received the special award at the National Excellent Foreign Literature Book Award in 1998.
After retiring in 2011, Wang continued to engage in foreign poetry translation and literary research, publishing works such as The Collected Works of Wang Jingzhi (six volumes) and Robert Browning: A Critical Reader.
