Two exhibitions at YNU recount rich history

To celebrate the 101st anniversary of Yunnan University, two exhibitions – Archives and Documents of Early Yunnan University Scholars Once Studying in France and the Challenge and Innovation: The Challenge Cup Competition in the History of Yunnan University – were launched at the Yunnan University History Museum on April 26.

The first exhibition displays the academic and professional experiences of 24 early YNU scholars studying in France, along with their achievements during their tenure at Yunnan University.

Through detailed archival materials and original documents, the exhibition highlights their singular contributions in various fields such as academia, culture and education.

The materials not only hold historical value but also provide valuable resources for future research on their academic thoughts and achievements.

For 35 years, students and faculty of Yunnan University have actively participated in the national Challenge Cup competition for college students.

The exhibition Challenge and Innovation: The Challenge Cup Competition in the History of Yunnan University aims to showcase the significant achievements of the students and faculty in technological innovation and talent cultivation by reviewing past competition experiences and important award-winning projects.

It seeks to inspire more young students to actively engage in innovative practices.

The exhibition is said to not only reflect on the historical development of Yunnan University, but also looks forward to the future of innovative talent cultivation there.

Moving forwards, plans are for the history museum to continue to host more special exhibitions on YNU's history.
