YNU alumni tennis club sets sail

Coinciding with the 101st anniversary of the founding of Yunnan University on April 20, the Yunnan University Alumni Tennis Club was established, and the first Yunnan University Alumni Tennis Tournament was held in Kunming, capital city of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on the same day.

More than 80 alumni from the Yunnan University Alumni Association, the School of Physical Education of Yunnan University, as well as alumni of the university's golf, sailing, soccer, and running clubs, gathered together to witness the official establishment of the tennis club.

Hu Jianfeng, secretary-general of the Yunnan University Alumni Association; Wang Zongping, dean of the School of Physical Education of Yunnan University; and Zhang Shiluan, captain of the Yunnan University Senior Tennis Team, attended the event and delivered speeches.

They hope that the club will serve as a bridge for communication between alumni and their alma mater.

The establishment of the club provides alumni with an important platform to create lasting friendships. It also injects new vitality and momentum into the campus sports culture of Yunnan University.
