The opening ceremony of the Yunnan leg of the seventh China Youth Volunteer Service Project Competition was held at Yunnan University on April 29. A volunteer service exchange conference was also held on that day.
More than 800 participants, including provincial officials, cadres of the university, representatives from the Yunnan Provincial Volunteer Association, and undergraduate volunteers, attended the opening ceremony.
The competition is open to volunteer services in any sector of life, including those that focus on rural vitalization, children, and environmental protection.
At the ceremony, five previous national gold award-winning projects, such as Yunnan University's "Volunteer Service Project for Building Friendly Relationships among Resettlement Communities in Nujiang, Yunnan", were introduced and showcased.
Additionally, during the ceremony, various branches of China Merchants Bank and Amway's Yunnan Branch signed project collaboration agreements with the provincial volunteer association and participating units of the competition.
