It's graduation season once again in June and Yunnan University, or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – has unveiled its updated bachelor's degree gown designs.
These incorporate elements of traditional hanfu – traditional Chinese clothing – and offer two color options: blue and pink.

A closer look reveals that the cuffs of the gowns are adorned with embroidered ginkgo leaves, showcasing the distinctive design feature of Yunnan University. The fusion of traditional Chinese design elements with modern academic regalia not only adds a touch of cultural richness, but also pays homage to the university's unique surroundings. The new bachelor's degree gown designs serve as a visual representation of the university's identity and connection to its cultural roots.
