During the event, selected master teacher candidates from seven schools in Jinghong – including Xiaojie Central Primary School in Menglong town, Jinghong – engaged in discussions.
These were on advancing the development of master teacher studios, integrating physical and aesthetic education with moral and intellectual education and other topics.
The teacher candidates also exchanged their experiences with team leaders from Yunnan University, further clarifying and detailing the goals and tasks for building the master teacher studios.
As one of the first universities in Yunnan province to assist schools in various regions with physical and aesthetic education, YNU is providing targeted support to Jinghong city in the province's south Xishuangbanna Dai autonomous prefecture.
The university is guiding the establishment of master teacher studios in physical education, music and art in Jinghong.
The plan is for the studios to adopt a model where a local backbone teacher drives several other teachers – aiming to develop a professional team of physical and aesthetic education instructors for primary and secondary schools in Jinghong.
