The ASICS-Peking University Relay Race kicked off at Peking University on June 15, with track and field teams from 20 universities across China participating in the competition.

An enthusiastic team from Yunnan University, or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province –participated in the event.
The team was coached by Professor Lu Guiping from the School of Physical Education.
It included three athletes from the School of Physical Education, one from the School of Software, one from the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences and two from the School of Mathematics and Statistics.
Amid determined competition, the Yunnan University team achieved 10th place in the special invitation relay race.

The middle-distance running sub-team of Yunnan University's track and field team was officially established on March 4 this year.
The sub-team members come from various schools of Yunnan University, making it challenging to coordinate unified training times.
However, both the coaches and athletes are said to have demonstrated keen team spirit, persistently training hard and striving for better results.
