Yunnan University mulls 109 proposals at student congresses

Yunnan University, or YNU – based in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – held its 30th Student Congress and the ninth Graduate Student Congress at the Chenggong Campus on June 21-22.

Student organizations from other universities – including Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Nanjing University and Yunnan Normal University – sent 80 congratulatory letters and messages.

The two congresses reviewed and approved the work report presented by Gao Yuyang on behalf of the 29th Student Union.

It also approved the work report presented by representative Wang Zhiwei on behalf of the Eighth Graduate Student Union. Additionally, it reviewed the work report presented by representative Zhao Xiarui on behalf of the 29th Student Union Committee and the work report presented by representative Zhang Lingshan on behalf of the Eighth Graduate Student Union Committee.

In addition, the two congresses received a total of 109 valid proposals for Yunnan University, covering a wide range of topics – including education and teaching, personal development, living services and the protection of rights.
