The 2024 Yunnan Provincial Student Martial Art Championship – organized by the Yunnan Provincial Student Sports Association – was held on June 13-16 at Southwest Forestry University, located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province.
Over 600 athletes from 80 teams across Yunnan province participated in the event.
After hard-fought competition, the Yunnan University martial arts team won a total of five gold medals, five silvers and three bronze medals, along with second place in the group events.

Yunnan University, also based in Kunming, sent two teams to the competition.
Team one, consisting of eight students from the School of Physical Education and one student from the School of Ethnology and Sociology at the university, focused on the Changquan – a traditional Chinese martial art) – and tai chi events, securing five golds and three silver medals.
Team two, comprising two students from the School of Physical Education YNU, specialized in Nanquan – another traditional Chinese martial art – taking home two silvers and two bronze medals.
The Yunnan University martial arts team has consistently conducted training and preparation activities throughout the year, with the athletes demonstrating their ability to win.
