Ma Wenhui, deputy secretary of the CPC Yunnan University committee and executive vice president of Yunnan University (YNU) in Yunnan province, was appointed as the chief expert and vice chairman of the Yunnan Silicon Photovoltaic Technology Innovation Consortium on Aug 8.
The unveiling ceremony for the Consortium was held at the Qujing JA Solar Photovoltaic Technology Co in Southwest China's Yunnan province.
This innovative consortium was jointly established by Qujing JA Solar and 13 other well-known photovoltaic sector enterprises from within and outside the province while also relying on the sci-tech and talent support of five universities and research institutions in China. Yunnan University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, the Institute of Process Engineering of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the National Key Laboratory of Silicon and Advanced Semiconductor Materials at Zhejiang University were included.
The establishment of this consortium marks a new milestone in technological innovation within Yunnan's silicon photovoltaic sector.
Moving forward, it is anticipated that members will engage in collaborative efforts geared towards overcoming technical challenges facing the photovoltaic industry. This involves promoting the transformation of sci-tech achievements while facilitating talent cultivation and industry incubation to support the development of the industry.
