Updated: Aug 16, 2024

A study group from Yunnan University visited Germany and Belgium from July 15 to 21 to participate in the EU-China Summer School, organized in cooperation with the Centre International de Formation Européenne.

The group, consisting of two faculty members and 12 undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students, visited the European Council and the Council of the European Union in Brussels, delving into the practical workings of international relations. They also toured the Karl Marx House, the Goethe House, and the House of European History.

On July 19, the team visited the Mission of China to the European Union, gaining firsthand insights into diplomacy and Sino-European relations. Ma Tao, the mission's education counselor, received the group and discussed Sino-European cultural exchanges and cooperation with the faculty and students.

The Yunnan University faculty members reported to the mission on the university's recent achievements in scientific research, talent development, social services, and internationalization efforts. Ma encouraged all the students to reflect on their study trips to Germany and Belgium, using their experiences abroad to deepen their understanding of international dynamics and China's global responsibilities.
