Yunnan University in Kunming, Southwest China's Yunnan province, is divided into the Chenggong and Donglu campuses, covering a total area of 4,363.64 mu (291 hectares). These campuses house the dormitory areas and their facilities.
At the Chenggong Campus, students can live in the Ziyuan, Nanyuan, Qiuyuan, and Huayuan dormitory areas. The gates of these areas are closed from 11:00 pm to 6:30 am the next day, during which time entry and exit are generally prohibited.
Each room accommodates four or six beds, each measuring 1.9 meters in length and 0.9 meters in width. The room also has an independent toilet, a bathroom, a washstand, and a water dispenser. The laundry room is on the first floor of each building.
High-power appliances are prohibited in the dormitory, and electricity is not supplied in the rooms from midnight to 6:30 am.
At the Donglu Campus, students can stay in the Dingxin, Dong'er, Beiyuan, and Yejin dormitory areas. The gates of these areas are also closed from midnight to 6:30 am, during which entry and exit are generally prohibited.
Each room has a water dispenser and accommodates four to eight people, with beds measuring the same size as Chenggong Campus. The Dingxin and Yejin dormitory areas have private bathrooms in each room, while the other two dormitory areas only have shared toilets and showers. The Dongluyuan shower room is available from noon to 10:00 pm, while the Dong’eryuan shower room is open from 10:00 am to 11:00 pm.
There are also laundry rooms in each dormitory area.
