Over 10,000 first-year students registered at Yunnan University from Aug 22 to 23, coming from all over China to embark on a new chapter in their academic journey.
The reception and registration process for freshmen was conducted smoothly and orderly, thanks to the collaboration of various university departments.
On Aug 22, Zhou Xuebin, secretary of the CPC Yunnan University Committee, Ma Wenhui, deputy Party secretary and executive vice president of Yunnan University, and other university cadres greeted freshmen at the Chenggong and Donglu campuses.
Staff members distributed registration handbooks, campus life guides, and other materials to new students at the university's registration points.
Yunnan University also arranged shuttle bus services at Kunming Station and Kunming South Station to drive new students to the campuses. Volunteers assisted them with luggage, guided them to take shuttle buses, and answered questions from first-year students and their families.
After the registration, the university will host welcome activities and help these new students better adapt to campus life.
