The fourth Yunnan-Taiwan University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition took place from Sept 2 to 3 at the Chenggong Campus of Yunnan University (YNU) in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province.

This event was co-hosted by YNU and Taiwan's Ming Chuan University. Twenty-three projects from 12 universities across Yunnan, including YNU, Yunnan Normal University, and Kunming Medical University, and seven universities from Taiwan, such as Ming Chuan University, Tatung University, and Fu Jen Catholic University, made it to the final round.
After presentations and expert evaluations, the Seismic Design Leader for Buildings project from YNU and the High-Content Phycocyanin Nostoc project from Taiwan's Tzu Chi University won gold awards.

The award ceremony for the competition was held on Sept 3 at YNU's Chenggong Campus.
Teams and individuals were presented with gold, silver, and bronze awards, as well as those who received the Outstanding Organization Award, Outstanding Instructor Award, Best Creativity Award, and Most Popular Award.
The competition is an excellent platform for youth exchange and cooperation between Yunnan and Taiwan. Yunnan plans to support youth from Taiwan further by offering internships and job opportunities.
