The 26th China Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Competition national finals took place in Yixing city in East China's Jiangsu province on Aug 25.
Capturing attention were teams from Yunnan University or YNU – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province. They notched up sterling success – winning one national first prize, nine second prizes, one third prize and four excellence awards.

The competition featured cutting-edge applications and practice in fields such as autonomous driving, robotics and artificial intelligence.
Jointly organized by the competition committee and the Yixing municipal government, the event attracted teams from 208 prestigious universities – including Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, the Harbin Institute of Technology and the National University of Defense Technology. A total of 407 teams and more than 1,300 participants competed.
As a significant platform for exchanging advanced intelligent manufacturing technologies and fostering top talent, the event not only hosted the core competition but also featured four specialized forums and an exhibition of top-tier robotics enterprises.
Over 200 experts, academics and industry leaders from the fields of robotics and AI gathered to discuss cutting-edge technologies and practical applications – promoting innovation and exploration know-how in the rapidly evolving landscape of robotics and artificial intelligence.
