The 17th C.C. Tan Life Science Award ceremony was held at Shenyang Pharmaceutical University on Oct 9. Yu Li, researcher at Yunnan University (YNU), received the "C.C. Tan Life Science Innovation Award."
As the deputy director of the State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Bio-Resources in Yunnan, Yu has long been researching mammals' evolutionary systems and adaptive mechanisms. She has published over 90 papers in top journals such as Science, Nature Genetics, and PNAS and has led multiple national research projects.
The C.C. Tan Life Science Award was established in 2008 to promote originality and industrialization in China's life science research and encourage continuous scientific innovation. Often referred to as the "Nobel Prize of Life Sciences in China", it is regarded as one of the most influential life science awards.
