On Oct 12 and 13, the China-Myanmar Cultural Exchange Academic Forum was held in Mandalay, Myanmar. The event was co-hosted by Yunnan University (YNU) and Yadanabon University, with support from the Institute of Yunnan University Institute of International Relations, the Yunnan University Myanmar Studies Institute, and the Fuqing Confucius Classroom in Mandalay.

A total of 22 scholars from Yadanabon University, Mandalay University, Mandalay University of Foreign Languages, Mandalay Distance Education University, Yunnan University, Shenzhen University, and Sun Yat-sen University participated in the discussions and exchanges.
The forum was the first in-person academic event bringing together Chinese and Myanmar universities since 2022, attracting significant attention from various sectors of the local community.
Yadanabon University, a comprehensive institution under the Ministry of Education of Myanmar, was established in 2000 and currently enrolls over 20,000 students. The university's partnership with Yunnan University began in 2019 with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
