The Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University – located in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province – and Chiang Mai University in Thailand signed a long-term mutual visit cooperation agreement on Oct 18.
It marked a new phase of collaboration and exchanges in the medical field between the two institutions.

During the signing ceremony, Yin Yong, secretary of the CPC Yunnan University's Affiliated Hospital Committee and Sureeporn Uthaikhup, chair of the Department of Physical Therapy at Chiang Mai University, delivered speeches highlighting the significance of the partnership.
The signing of the accord is seen as being of great importance in fostering academic exchanges and cooperation, promoting mutual visits between faculty and students, expanding the breadth and depth of joint initiatives – and in supporting the economic and social development of both China and Thailand.
The partnership is also expected to enhance the international influence of Yunnan University, or YNU, and its Thai counterpart.
After the ceremony, the delegation from Chiang Mai University's Faculty of Medicine participated in a "Rehabilitation Technology Training Course for South and Southeast Asia" organized by the hospital.
Through lectures, case analyses and hands-on practice, the course provided advanced rehabilitation techniques and concepts, earning high praise from the Chiang Mai University delegation.
