Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group Co and Yunnan University, located in Southwest China's Yunnan province, signed a cooperation agreement on Oct 24.
Zhou Xuebin, secretary of the CPC Yunnan University Committee, hoped the university could use its strong academic disciplines to support the group in practical technological research and development, talent cultivation, and industry growth, thereby fostering a mutually beneficial collaboration.
Hu Jun, chairman of Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group Co, emphasized the need for both parties to focus on enhancing the industrial chain of new materials. He also highlighted advancing green silicon integration with deep processing to drive transformation and upgrade the group's traditional industries.
He stressed the importance of aligning with specialized talent to support the development of the group's modern workforce. Hu underscored the value of sustained cooperation in technological innovation, product R&D, and emerging strategic industry cultivation, enhancing the group's core competitiveness and strengthening its foundational momentum.
Hu further suggested that both parties work towards the integrated development of green energy and manufacturing, establishing a new advantage in the production-academia-research-application model for green new materials.
The two sides plan to balance the practical needs of enterprises, academia, and local socio-economic development. By integrating their industrial, technological, and talent resources, they aim to expand cooperation in energy, modern logistics, and green energy new materials, contributing collectively to the province's high-quality economic and social development.
