The new base aims to enhance the capabilities of healthcare managers and emergency department personnel in responding to animal-related injuries, offering specialized and efficient treatment for patients. This initiative seeks to develop a skilled workforce for standardized animal injury management, elevating clinical treatment standards across Yunnan province.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the hospital hosted the second Yunnan Provincial Academic Annual Conference on Standardized Animal Injury Care, supported by the specialized emergency medical committee. The event included training sessions on emergency care and management of animal-related injuries, gathering healthcare professionals from provincial medical institutions, emergency departments, and local animal injury clinics.
Experts such as Zuo Yongbo from the Haidian Section of Peking University Third Hospital, Yan Baigang from the Emergency and Critical Care Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of CQMU, and Liu Xiaoqiang from Yunnan CDC's Vaccine Clinical Research Center presented topics including "Pitfalls in Hand Injury Management from Animal Attacks", "Strategies for Active and Passive Immunization", and "The Necessity of Tetanus Vaccination for Rabies Cases". These sessions introduced participants to the latest approaches in clinical treatment and prevention of animal injuries, along with insights into regulatory practices.
