At the 2024 Yunnan Provincial Vocational Education Fall Semester Teaching Conference, held on Oct 24 in Yuxi city, the Yunnan Provincial Department of Education announced its approval for establishing the Yunnan Provincial Institute for Vocational Education at Yunnan University (YNU).

The establishment of this institute marks a significant step in advancing vocational education in Yunnan province. It will enhance research, talent development, social services, and international cooperation in vocational education, strengthening its adaptability and support for regional economic and social development.
Looking ahead, the Yunnan Provincial Institute for Vocational Education will use its expertise to support the development and reform of a modern vocational education system in the province.
It aims to participate in comprehensive evaluations of vocational school programs, provide educational management and faculty training, and promote research and practice in project-based international cooperation.
Additionally, it will regularly compile and analyze information on domestic and international vocational education reforms, assist the Provincial Department of Education with related initiatives, and actively contribute to the high-quality development of vocational education in Yunnan.
