Yunnan University Swimming Pool puts into trial operation

Yunnan University Swimming Pool, integrating smart technology and eco-friendly design, opens for trial operation on Feb 26. This facility will offer students and faculty members an enhanced aquatic sports experience.

The pool features three specially designed shallow lanes, ranging from 1.2 to 1.3 meters in depth, with a non-slip textured bottom. This setup ensures a safe and enjoyable environment for swimming lessons or beginners practicing their strokes.

Equipped with an intelligent temperature control system, the water temperature is maintained within an optimal range from 26 to 28 C. This ensures a comfortable swimming experience year-round, whether in the chill of winter or the heat of summer. Additionally, a dehumidification system keeps indoor humidity at a comfortable level.

A chlorine-free circulation disinfection system is used to eliminate concerns about chlorine allergies, eye irritation, and other related issues.

The pool's unique "floating" structure, supported by multiple anti-seismic columns, separates the pool body from the foundation to effectively isolate vibrations. This design also minimizes heat conduction from the pool bottom, making it more energy-efficient compared with traditional pools.

The swimming pool will be open exclusively to university students and faculty members from 11:00 am to 8:00 pm daily, free of charge. Students and faculty members can call 0871-65902892 for reservations and inquiries.
