Yunnan University will continue to expand its enrollment in 2025, with plans to increase undergraduate admissions by 300 students. Additional spots will primarily be allocated to science, engineering, agriculture, medical, and dual-degree programs.

This expansion aims to further align with national strategic demands, addressing talent shortages in technology, agriculture, and healthcare. By strengthening its academic disciplines in science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine, Yunnan University seeks to cultivate top-tier, innovative professionals who can directly contribute to national and regional economic and industrial development. The university will also enhance the quality and quantity of dual-degree programs to promote interdisciplinary integration.

Following a 600-student increase in undergraduate admissions in 2024, Yunnan University's continued enrollment expansion in 2025 will extend access to high-quality education. This initiative will provide more learning opportunities, supporting equality in higher education.

Yunnan University will enhance its educational infrastructure to accommodate the growing student population. It will strengthen its faculty team, expand teaching and research facilities, improve campus infrastructure, and optimize management and student services. These efforts will create an excellent learning environment and ensure a steady improvement in the quality of talent cultivation.

Yunnan University remains committed to advancing educational reforms and continuously improving the quality of talent development. It will introduce emerging and interdisciplinary programs aligned with new technologies, industries, and business models while phasing out programs that no longer meet economic and societal needs. The university will also implement a cross-disciplinary talent cultivation plan, driving reforms in independent talent development models.

The university is dedicated to refining its high-level talent recruitment mechanism, enhancing undergraduate education resources, and ensuring all professors participate in undergraduate teaching.

Yunnan University has also partnered with over 100 universities and research institutions across 27 countries, cooperating in talent cultivation, scientific research, and industry-academia integration.
