Yunnan University's team delivered an outstanding performance and won the national first prize at the 3rd National ETF Elite Challenge in Shenzhen, marking the university's best result in the competition to date.

Guided by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, hosted on the Eastmoney platform, and jointly organized by 12 leading fund companies, this year's competition attracted nearly 600,000 students from 2,740 universities across China. The Yunnan University team shared the national first prize alongside teams from Peking University, Wuhan University, and 11 other top institutions.
Three graduate students – Fengqi Xiaowen, Zeng Helin, and Wang Bingcan – dedicated months of effort meticulously refining their report under the guidance of Li Zhendong and other faculty members from Yunnan University's School of Economics, along with Shi Baoguang, fund manager at credit suisse index and quantitative investment department of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China.
After four months of rigorous preparation, the team skillfully integrated investor education into their work. Their efforts were recognized with the national first prize in the ETF Industry Report Track.
In recent years, Yunnan University's finance program has made remarkable progress in graduate program development, academic competitions, research publications, project funding, and case development.
This top national award is a testament to the continued investment brought by the university's teaching and research platforms, talent training systems, and innovation practice bases. Yunnan University's School of Economics provided comprehensive support throughout the competition process, from awareness campaigns and participant mobilization to training and expert guidance.
The School of Economics will continue deepening the reform of postgraduate education and teaching, enhancing the integration of competitions into curriculum development, and fostering innovative, practice-oriented talent at the highest level.
