Yunnan University hosts major spring job fair for graduates

Yunnan University held its large-scale Spring Semester Job Fair for graduates at Wendian Square on its Chenggong Campus on April 11.

The event welcomed 311 high-quality employers, who offered a total of 8,847 jobs. Over 6,700 graduating students from universities across Kunming attended the fair in search of employment.

Employers came from 22 provinces and municipalities including Beijing, Shanghai, and Jiangsu.

Jobs were offered in a wide range of industries such as education, manufacturing, scientific research and technical services, finance, public administration, social security, transportation and logistics, wholesale and retail, leasing and business services, culture and entertainment, and information technology.

Recruiters were in need of graduates in diverse academic disciplines including humanities, law, science, engineering, agriculture, and medicine.

Some enterprises participating in the fair are partners in Yunnan University's "Student Employment and Entrepreneurship Practice Base" initiative.

The event featured designated areas for on-site interviews, policy consultations, and a special booth for the Western China Volunteer Program. Employers were also provided with multimedia support, including large digital screens for company presentations and promotional videos. More than 50 student volunteers assisted both recruiters and job seekers throughout the event.

According to preliminary statistics, the job fair saw a total of 17,259 resumes submitted, resulting in 2,853 preliminary employment agreements.

Moving forward, Yunnan University will continue to provide follow-up employment services and help graduates achieve high-quality employment.
