Yunnan University Alumni Soccer Club hosts anniversary invitational tournament

Yunnan University's Chenggong Campus came alive as the Alumni Soccer Club hosted its anniversary invitational tournament with the tagline "Promoting 102-Year-Old Yunnan University Spirit Through Healthy Living" on April 19.

The event was organized by the Yunnan University Alumni Association, co-hosted by the Yunnan University Alumni Sports Club, and supported by the School of Physical Education and the Yunnan University Soccer Association. Alumni from various backgrounds gathered on the pitch, delivering an exciting day of soccer and camaraderie.

The ceremony began at 3 pm with speeches from university and club representatives, highlighting the deep-rooted traditions of Yunnan University and the unifying power of sports. A group photo captured the spirit of the occasion.

The matches kicked off with the HIT Alumni Team facing off against the Highland Light Alumni Team, both sides showcasing skillful coordination at the fierce competition. In the second match, the HIT Team played against the Yunnan University Women's Team, whose determination, teamwork, and technical skill earned applause from the crowd.

The final match saw the Highland Light Team go head-to-head with the Women's Team in a hard-fought contest full of energy and sportsmanship.

This celebratory tournament not only strengthened alumni bonds and showcased athletic excellence but also embodied the enduring Yunnan University spirit.
