The Yunnan Education and Medical Exhibition was held at the University of Dhaka in Bangladesh on April 20. The event was jointly organized by the Yunnan Provincial People's Government, China, and the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh, with the University of Dhaka acting as a co-host, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of China-Bangladesh diplomatic relations.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka – jointly established by Yunnan University and the University of Dhaka – provided full support in preparing and organizing the exhibition and its opening ceremony. A delegation led by Duan Xingwu, vice president of Yunnan University, participated in the event.
During the opening ceremony, students and faculty members from the Confucius Institute performed folk songs from both countries and demonstrated traditional Chinese cultural practices such as tai chi and the guzheng (Chinese zither), showcasing the fruitful results of cultural education.
Yunnan University also inaugurated two key platforms in partnership with the University of Dhaka and North South University: the China-Bangladesh Human Resources Development Cooperation Base and the China-Bangladesh Cultural Experience Center. At the same time, the "China-South Asia Youth Exchange Week" was launched.
More than 600 students and faculty members from Bangladesh attended the exhibition, with many showing interests in studying abroad and making inquiries at Yunnan University's booth.

During the exhibition, the visiting delegation from the Yunnan Provincial People's Government conducted an on-site inspection of the Confucius Institute at the University of Dhaka, praising its academic achievements.
