Yunnan University signs ideological education cooperation agreements

The School of Marxism at Yunnan University signed cooperation agreements with the new era civilization practice centers of Mengzi, Tengchong, and Ruili in Kunming on June 28.

This initiative supports a new model to enhance the social service function of university Marxism schools by pairing them with grassroots civilization centers. The move follows a national action plan launched by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee in June to promote collaboration between higher education institutions and local civilization practice centers.

Yunnan University's School of Marxism, the only national key Marxism school in Yunnan province, was selected among the first 20 institutions nationwide to pilot this initiative. The school is also the province's sole doctoral and postdoctoral center in Marxist theory, with unique research focuses, including "Marxist Principles and Social Development in Ethnic Border Regions" and "Foreign Marxism and Socialist Movements in South and Southeast Asia".
