Throughout the semester, over 15 athletic events were held, attracting the participation of more than 10,000 students and staff members. Campus running activities alone added up to nearly 800,000 kilometers – equivalent to circling the earth 20 times – demonstrating the sustained popularity of fitness among the university community. Morning joggers and late-night runners alike have formed new daily habits, embodying the university's commitment to building a healthy lifestyle.

A landmark event this semester was a long-distance running competition that captured the imagination of the entire campus. Despite the rain, over 1,300 participants, including students, faculty, and alumni, ran through scenic routes, turning familiar academic spaces into a stage for athleticism and resilience. One participant said, "Crossing the finish line made me realize that sports are not about competition with others, but an honest dialogue with oneself."

Traditional and modern sports activities have flourished side by side. Group dances rooted in ethnic traditions fostered cultural appreciation and unity. Team competitions in basketball, volleyball, football, and table tennis showcased both athletic skill and collaborative spirit. At the same time, archery events offered students a chance to explore traditional Chinese sports culture, while recreational matches between teachers and students deepened mutual understanding through movement.

Emerging sports brought fresh energy to campus life. Roller skating challenges, street dance contests, yoga classes, and creative fitness routines added contemporary flair, while engaging athletic meets emphasized teamwork and perseverance through obstacle races, long-distance runs, and other lighthearted events.

YNU plans to continue integrating physical education into campus life.
