The school plans to establish new platforms for global academic exchange and invite outstanding young representatives from countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to join intensive study programs focused on frontier topics such as global governance, the digital economy, and green development.
At the same time, the school will expand its cooperation with universities in South and Southeast Asia and promote the establishment of a Regional Alliance for Chinese Language Education.
From 2023 to 2025, the school focused on building the "Study at YNU" brand by actively participating in several national-level programs, including cultural exchange camps organized by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation under the Ministry of Education.
By October 2025, the school had organized 24 short-term training programs for participants from more than 20 countries and regions – including Thailand, Malaysia, and Europe – and trained a total of 696 international participants.
Over the past three years, the school has designed targeted Chinese language programs for different groups studying or participating in exchanges at YNU.
For local Chinese language teachers, the programs have emphasized innovative teaching methodologies and the deep integration of educational technology, incorporating cutting-edge elements such as AI-assisted instruction and online classroom design.
International youth participants have been engaged through hands-on activities, including Yunnan tie-dye and silver craft intangible cultural heritage workshops, ecological field studies, and youth dialogue sessions.
