YNU hosts annual meeting of entrepreneur alumni association

Yunnan University (YNU) held the annual meeting of its entrepreneur alumni association in Kunming city on Jan 16.

Zhou Xuebin, secretary of the CPC Committee of YNU, Ma Wenhui, president of Yunnan University, and Chen Keqing, YNU's vice president, attended the meeting along with alumni of the university who now rank as entrepreneurs.

Li Dajian, executive president of the Beijing Yunnan Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce, and Mao Liang, chairman of Aierxin Group, were also among the esteemed guests.

In his address, Zhou encouraged the alumni to further strengthen the ties with their alma mater and promote university-enterprise cooperation.

He also discussed the university's graduate employment situation and urged alumni enterprises to provide more job opportunities for YNU graduates.

Three entrepreneur alumni shared their insights on a range of topics, including the transformation of traditional enterprises, the transition to becoming an entrepreneur, and the development of Yunnan's specialty coffee industry.

In addition, six entrepreneurs exchanged experiences on themes such as cultural and tourism integration, the branding of distinctive local resources, and promoting "Yunnan products" beyond the province.

Guo Zhenyu, PhD, chairman of the Entrepreneur Alumni Association of Yunnan University and chairman of Yunnan Botanee Group, delivered the concluding remarks.
