The Frontier Studies Institute of Yunnan University has been established, marking a new milestone in the systematic and institutional development of frontier studies in China.
Li Guoqiang, a member of the Academic Divisions of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and vice president of the Chinese Academy of History, delivered a speech at the launch ceremony. He hoped that the institute would deepen multidisciplinary integration and explore collaborative innovation in frontier studies.
The institute will focus on key research areas, including China's frontier history, frontier governance, studies of neighboring regions, and national security. By advancing interdisciplinary collaboration, it aims to cultivate talent, build high-level think tanks, and promote international academic exchange.
