Students from Yunnan University won 53 awards at the 11th China Undergraduate Life Sciences Contest.
The university secured 12 first prizes, 19 second prizes, and 22 third prizes in the contest's scientific inquiry category. It also received an outstanding organization award for the Yunnan division.
This year's event featured scientific research, fieldwork, and English-language categories, attracting more than 26,000 teams from 787 universities, a record high.
Yunnan University's award-winning teams came from its schools of life sciences, ecology and environmental science, chemical science and engineering, and agriculture. More than 150 teams represented the university, also a record, with faculty members from different disciplines providing guidance throughout project development and competition preparation.
