The HCP is committed to facilitating exchanges among academic and industrial researchers in areas related to difficult computing problems, leading to influential academic results and industry-research collaborations.

This year's HCP brought together more than 100 domestic researchers from the University of Amiens in France, the Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Peking University and other bodies in related fields, as well as more than 10 top industry experts from Huawei, Lenovo, and Alibaba Damo Academy.

After the workshop, the Software School invited Li Chumin, a special at the University of Amiens, to make a report entitled "Solving MaxSAT Problem and Its Application" for the school's teachers and students. The report helped broaden students' academic vision.

On Aug 8, the National Compilation Course Teaching Seminar – jointly undertaken by the Software School of Yunnan University and Dali University – was held in Dali Bai autonomous prefecture.

Through the exchanges and sharing undertaken at the seminar, the development and innovation of Yunnan University – in the fields of computer education and teaching, the application of national first-class courses, engineering certification, professional construction and other areas – were promoted, and the influence of the university in the field of teaching in China has been enhanced.

In this seminar, Professor Liu Qing of the Software School of Yunnan University won the "Textbook Construction Award", while Associate Professor Zhu Rui from the school was appointed as the deputy leader of the theory curriculum construction group of the Curriculum Compiling Virtual Teaching and Research Office at the Ministry of Education.

Notably, the School of Software was recently awarded the right to host the 2025 CCF (China Computer Federation) Conference on Artificial Intelligence. The conference is expected to be held in Kunming in 2025 and be attended by over 1,000 practitioners in the field of AI from around the country.
